Incidentally, Davies (1967) also includes the parish of "Llanfechain"
(MGY) in his gazetteer. The village of Llanfechain is situated at grid
reference SJ189203, about nine miles north of Welshpool.
Humphery-Smith (1995) includes this parish using the spelling
"Llanfachairn", while Kain and Oliver (2001) give four spelling variants
for this parish: Llanfechain; Llanfechain; Llanvechan; and Llanfechan.
Kind regards,
John
