Pat & Chris,
I suspect "Burya" might be "Berriew". This is a possible entry for
your
William PRICE/PRYCE, although the age is slightly off and would place his
birth before the advent of Civil Registration in July 1837 -- hence, you
won't find it in any birth indexes and should check the BT's for Berriew.
It looks like he's probably the youngest in the family so I'm sure he had
elder siblings but only the BT's can tell you. Finding them in the 1841
census (Berriew) should show some of the elder siblings still at home.
Details from the 1851 Census of Montgomeryshire, CD pub. by Powys FHS:
1851 Census, Parish of Berriew, Montgomeryshire
PRYCE, David h m 63 labourer
MGY Bettws Pentre Llifior /f25/p3
PRYCE, Ann w m 61
SAL Pontesbury Pentre Llifior /f25/p3
PRYCE, William s u 14 labourer
MGY Berriew Pentre Llifior /f25/p3
LLOYD, Oliver vs 5
MGY Bettws Pentre Llifior /f25/p3
It would be best to locate him in *all* census returns in order to compare
age & birthplace before settling on this William as "the one" -- also, his
death certificate and grave marker details should be obtained.

Julie Preston

Subject: [WLS-MGY] Check this Census record
Hi,
I`m new to list and wondered if some kind and generous person could help
me
out.
The 1891 Census shows the William PRICE I`m looking for as born c1840 in
Burya, MGY; and living in Hay, Brecon.
I take it as Montgomery, but find no birth for him anywhere.
Requesting any info on Williams parentage. If you feel inclined to add
siblings - I would not be offended :o)
Regards Pat & Chris
