Hello list
I'm back on board in pursuit of the following.
My grandfather's sister, Lucy Hannah NOURSE, married Edward Griffiths ROWLANDS in
Welshpool PC on 30 August 1902. Both were resident in Welshpool at the time. Lucy was born
in Preston, Lancs, Edward ( a compositor according to their MC) in Llanidloes. He was the
son of Thomas ROWLANDS (grocer) of Llanidloes.
From the 1881 census I have the following:
Thomas Rowlands Head 39 Grocer born Llanidloes
Jane do Wife 38 Grocer's wife do
Thomas J do Son 7 b. Llandinam
Edward G do Son 6 b. Llanidloes
Margaret J do Daughter 4 do
Sarah A do 2 do
Martha do 6mo do
The 1891 shows the same names, minus Martha, plus Evan A Rowlands aged 7.
I cannot at the moment track them in the 1871 or the 1901.
Before I go much further (Rowlands being a pretty common name in those parts), does this
ring any bells with anyone on the list?
I shall be grateful for any help.
Many thanks
Ron
