Sandy,
You don't say from where you'll be driving.
Kerry is a village and a parish with a parish church (including it's own
churchyard).
Kerry is on the A489 Road (aka "Kerry Road") which runs, basically,
east-west from the border with Shropshire to Newtown. The village of Kerry
is 2-1/2 miles east of Newtown.
Giant's Bank is nearer the village of Llanmerewig (due north of Kerry
village). If you're driving from the east, once you pass Kerry village you
come to a "T" (approx. 1 mile) where there should be a sign directing you to
Llanmerewig (northeast). Turn right and Giant's Bank (and Giant's Bank
Wood) is just over a mile up that road, on the left side, although it's not
clear whether there's a path to the farm from the road or not. You'll have
to ask someone. Neighbors are The Park, Glascoed, Hollybush (just past
Giant's bank).
If you come south through Montgomery (town) on the B4386, you can turn left
(south east) at Abermule onto the B4368 and follow the signs to Llanmerewig
village and then a bit further to Giant's Bank. There are two possible left
turns from Abermule -- you'll want the 2nd one, as the first will take you
to Llandyssil village.
I hope this helps but I suggest you purchase a proper map of the area.
Suggest you also check out the parish church at Llanmerewig in case your
family also used that church.
Have fun and good luck.
