Hello All
I wonder if anyone can tell me or point me in the right direction. I'm wanting to
find out if there would have been an article in the newspaper for someone charged in the
Montgomery Quarter Sessions for housebreaking, and also if there would be anything on when
he was sentenced to be transported to Australia. Someone on one of the other lists has
found newspaper articles on their ancestor which tells him which hulk he was sent to and
where etc.
My fellow was Richard JONES alias BULLOCK (yep that's right) and he was sentenced in
the above on 10 June 1836 for 7 years. He apparently had a former conviction for 4 months
but I'm unable so far to find out what that was all about.
Any advice welcomed, looking forward to hearing from you.
