David,
A check of the Monumental Inscriptions for St. Mary's, Parish Church of
Llanfair Caereinion (pub. by Montgomeryshire Genealogical Soc.) turns up no
MI's for any of the ladies (i.e., Elizabeth WILLIAMS, Catherine WILLIAMS, or
Jane WILLIAMS) in the right time-frame, nor for "your" John WILLIAMS and
wife Ann.
Perhaps you'll need to check the Bishop's Transcripts for the parish or the
parish register for burial entries or branch out into another parish.
Regards,
Julie Preston

Subject: WIVES ALL MARRIED TO A JOHN WILLIAMS
HI
My John Williams as opposed to a John Williams married his 2nd wife Ann
Morgan on
25 Oct 1818. He was described in Gwynne's Pre 1837 Marriage Index
as a Widower and she a Widow. The marriage took place in Llanfair
Caereinion
It follows that his first wife would have died before this date. I have
only been
able to narrow it down to the following 4 ladies.
Elizabeth Jehu Married 10 Jan 1803 in Llanfair Caereinion
Catherine Jones " 22 Dec 1804 "
Catherine Rogers " 11 Feb 1805 "
Jane Pryce " 19 Sep 1810 "
Any dates of Death or Burials of any of the above would be extremely
useful as
would any details of Ann Morgan's first marriage. I have made
good progress on researching my Brunt and Meredith lines but my Williams and
Evans lines are proving problematic. The last two surnames do not even go
in for unusual first names.
