Searching for Marriage of George Knight and Margaret Gittins - probably about 1830-1840.
He was probably from the Westbury area and she was from Llanfair Caereinion.
Have some information on the family from the 1881 Census but want to find this marriage, or an earlier Census in the Westbury area.
Thanks

Dear listers
If anyone comes across any Bennions (or Benyons, or Benions) in the 1841, 1861, or 1871 census of Montgomeryshire, would be glad to have the references.
Thank you
Caroline
Hello,
I'd much appreciate any information anyone has on Richard Williams, born
1814 in Montgomeryshire. This is my g-g-grandfather. We have no
information on his life in Wales, except what I have here.
Richard emigrated to America. My great aunt, Ruth Williams, said that she
was named after the town where Richard Williams lived: Ruthin, Denbighshire,
Wales. It is not known whether he married is first wife, Jane Tudor, in
Wales or America. We know the Tudor's were Welsh and were in Pennsylvania
before they came to Iowa City, Iowa. Later, Richard gave land for the
formation of a town, Williamsburg, Iowa, which was named for him. He had a
farm and ran a sawmill there.
If you can help in any way I'd be grateful.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Kim,
If you don't get a reply here regarding registration lists, I suggest that
you try on Powys-l which is a bit busier.
Regarding Bebbs, I suggest that you try a post enquiring on the BEBB
mailing list. That list is pretty quiet, but I'm fairly sure that most of
the people on it are not on this list. You do need to post, though, you're
unlikely to gain much by lurking - unlike Powys, for instance.
Presumably Pryce and Anne should be fairly easy to find on the 1881 census.
I have chunks of it on my BEBB website but it would be far easier to use
the CDs if you can get access to a set (I don't have them, unfortunately).
Cheers,
Malcolm

Pryce and Anne BEBB. Daughter Alice Ann born 1878, married William RAY
1903, died 1945 Moreton Corbet Shropshire.
If anyone shares an interest in these people I would love to hear from them,
as I know nothing as yet of this family.
I have found a burial record for a Richard DAVIES of 14 Jan. 1865, age 64 of
Llanfair Rd. in Newtown, Montgomeryshire, Wales. I think this could be my
4X gr. grandfather. The ref: that I have is Cert. #212, B11B, Pg. 171, Wm.
Jones, Curate, died at residence.
I also found one for a George DAVIES on 12 Feb. 1868/9m age 75 of Llanfair
Rd. in Newtown. This might be his brother. All that was readable was #374,
Gibbe? (Info. is from NLW CPD 66, Vol 1-4)
My questions are:
Would the cert. #'s be of the death or the burial?
How & where would I find copies of these?
What info might be on them?
Would anyone know what denomination Wm. Jones, Curate might be?
Thank you very much for sharing.
