Sorry, I can't help. The only Thomas Ellis I have, from my mother's side, was born
in 1908 at Gellilwyd Fawr, near Dolgellau - not far from Bryn Mawr. There are Williams and
Roberts families involved but they were from Llanenddwyn/Llanwywe area.

I am descended from John Williams (ca1790-1877) and Elizabeth Roberts (1797-1852) of
Llwynmawr, Llanycil, via their daughter Catherine (1831-1879) who married John Thomas
(ca1827-1905) of Pandy Mawr/Bryncocyn/Plas Madog/Cloddiau Llidiardau.
Again a slightly neglected part of my family history - there is a sketch on Ceiri
Griffiths 2nd book p242.
Other children (all baptised in Capel y Parc):
Elinor bap 1819
David bap 1822 of Llwynmawr
Elizabeth bap 1827 of Cynlas married Thomas Ellis (of some fame).
Back to the parents, Elizabeth was the daughter of Edwards Roberts (ca1767-1842) and
Eleanor (ca1774-1864) of Tyn Ddol.
Eleanor was in turn the daughter of Rheinallt Richard will 1802 of Tyn Ddol and Elizabeth
(Beti Tyn Ddol).
I don’t know John’s 1790 baptism - but can trace a Williams family of Llwynmawr back to
the early 1700s.
Any help on all these families would be appreciated!
