Annwyl list:
My GRIFFITHS connection in Meirionydd is through an Edward GRIFFITHS, who
married my great-grandfather's sister, Mary Anne. Both the records below
were kindly provided By Richard Griffiths, who was mentioned on this list a
couple of months ago as having records of Bryncrug (near Tywyn).
1901. Pen-y-Parc, Bryncrug. Towyn.
Edward Griffiths Head Mar ? Farmer. b. Montgomeryshire.
Mary A. " Wife " ? b. Cardiganshire.
William M. " son - 7 b.
Merionethshire.
Mary E. Davies servant single 16 General svt "
John " " " 28 farm "
"
In his cemetery records Richard have found the following:
Edward Griffiths 'Pen-y-Parc, Bryncrug. died 23.May 1909 aged 63.
Mary Ann Griffiths " " died 13.Jan. 1922 "
66.
William Morris " " " died 23.Feb. 1967
"

I know nothing of Edward's background but as a guess I imagine he might have
been from Machynlleth. The marriage was a late one and two other children
died in infancy and are buried at Llangynfelyn (north Ceredigion, see
http://www.llangynfelyn.org/), where their mother came from. William did not
marry but there may have been a child out of wedlock!

Message Board Post:
I have information on a Lewis Griffiths (b.1857) from Merionethshire, N. Wales
(my great-great-grandfather) who was married to Annie Jones of Carnavronshire,
N. Wales and he also had a mother named Jane. Jane (b. 1822) was married to a
John Griffiths (b.1823). I'm not sure if this information is related or not
but I also have names of other family members, children etc. All of my
information was translated into English a long time ago so I'm not sure how
accurate things are. Let me know if you think this info is connected to
yours!
