Gwyneth, I live a few houses up the road from 154 and know of the family.
However, I am drowning in deadlines at the moment. I will get back to you
off the list just after Easter if that is OK.

HELP!
I am very new to this game of finding my ancestors but I am exceedingly
keen
to find them so if anyone can shed any light as to my family tree I
would
be
very grateful.
My name is Gwyneth
My father was EDMUND BARKER MORRIS,born 3rd June 1923 and died 2nd March
1991, was brought up by his parents DR JOSEPH W. MORRIS & Mrs Lilian
MORRIS
( nee BARKER). He attended Friars School and Bangor Normal College.
He
was
with the Ist Airbourne Division, Parachute regiment during the war -
and
became a schoolmaster in Wolverhampton thereafter.
My Grandfather, Doctor Joseph William MORRIS, born 21st October 1892, had
lived and practised at " BRYN MARION" BLAENAU FFESTINIOG
He I believe was one of six children born to ? who had lived previously
(family home)at 154 Manod Road, Blaenau Ffestiniog.
His brothers and sisters were:
The Reverend William Morris, born 1889. Arch Druid and Bard(1934) Lived
in
Caernarfon.
John Morris, Inspector of Schools Lived in Bangor
Edmund Morris, who I believe died when he was sixteen
Annie Morris, whose married name was JONES and continued to
live
at 154 Manod Road until her death.
and Margaret ( Maggie) whose married name was Lloyd and who lived
in
converted church on the opposite side of Manod Road to Annie. I
believe
her
husband to have been a furniture maker? They had a daughter -
MERIONA
I have been unable at this point to find reference to my Grandfather's
parents but I would be grateful at this point to receive any information
on
any of the members of my family. I do know that my Grandfather and
his
brothers were all held in reasonably high regard in the community - but as
I
live quite some distance away and with no understanding of Welsh and
new
to
this game I am finding research a little daunting. Any help would
be
gratefully appreciated. Thank you.
