1. Edward T. JONES, Died 18 Sep 1902, Plymouth, PA, USA: Born at Low Bridge,
Glamorganshire, South Wales, March 12, 1840; survived by his wife and four children: Mrs.
Winifred Morgan, Edward A. and Milton Jones of this town and William of Old Forge.
2. John GRIFFITHS, Died 16 Oct 1902, Wilkes-Barre, PA, USA: Age 80 years; born at
Carnarvon, North Wales; always known as John Griffiths "Garn"; emigrated to U.S.
16 years before; his wife died the previous year in Wales; survived by eight children,
four sons and four daughters - eldest son lives in Ffestimog [sic], North Wales; John,
Thomas and David live at Pottsville; Mrs. Owen Williams of South Meade street, Mrs. John
Williams of New Empire street and Mrs. Henry Cox of Hillside street; and Mrs. John Jones
in Nanticoke.
3. Elizabeth WILLIAMS, Died 26 Oct 1902, Pittston, PA, USA: Aged 62 years, 3 months and
13 days; born in Rhymney, Monmouthshire, South Wales; daughter of David and Mary Griffith;
in 1862 married Mr. Williams at Aberdare in 1862 and emigrated to U.S. in the same year;
survived by her husband and seven children, four boys and three girls - David of Los
Angeles, Cal.; James of Kingston; Mrs. William Chiver and Mrs. William H. Monk of
Pittston; Gwilym of Buffalo; and Robert and Mrs. David W. Evans of Pittston. All these
and her husband survive, as well as one brother, David D. Griffith, the well known mine
foreman at Minooka.
