Good to know there is someone else lost in the complexities of the Bala
Roberts family.
We are looking for John Roberts b. 1830 Bala son of John Roberts, a miller
of Bala. Found a possible baptism in Llanfor and a possible entry in the
1851 census, but of course they contradict each other. I am hoping to visit
Dolgellau record office in the next couple of weeks for a more detailed look
I have a detailed tree on RootsWeb at

Please let me know if we connect and are able to help each other

Subject: [MER] Catherine Roberts of 80 High Street, Bala
Sometime back a kind lady, Mrs Higgins of Sheffield, sent me a will
for
the
above named, as Catherine was not her ancestor.
I have now ascertained that she is not my ancestor, either.
Probate was 31 January 1921 and the beneficiary was Thomas Owen Roberts,
Butcher of Bala.
Is there anyone with an interest in this will.
Yours Aye
Jane McIntosh
