Hello,
Following Mr. Neep's posting to this list on June 6th last (below), I
have now had time to refresh my memory by looking through the archives
of Rootsweb lists to which I have posted in the last 6 months.
There are 5 postings (3 threads) from me about the subject of census
CD's that I can find, on 3 lists including the postings to this list
from a couple of weeks ago. One posting is to Eng-Lincsgen and is a
short request to people to mail me off list containing no other
comments. Any other thread there may have been on that list about
Archive CD Books was not started by me and I made no contribution.
The dates of the postings are between Mar 14 2003 and June 5 2003.
Mr. Neep posted one reply on list in reply to one of my postings on
April 10 2003. This may have been copied to me privately but I do not
recall and am inclined to think not. The only other reply was to this
list on June 6 2003 and to me off list.
4 of these 5 postings make comments about 1 Archive CD Books product.
One of the postings also contains the following: 'I have bought quite a
few Archive CD Books items and generally been well pleased...'
None of my postings contain any personal referenes to Mr. Neep.
Subscribers to this list will form their own judgement about Mr. Neep's
use of language. If anything in this posting is inaccurate I am happy to
be corrected.

Ladies and Gentlemen
Readers should be aware that whenever the subject of census legibility
arises, Chris Watson takes the opportunity to jump onto his favourite
soap box and write comments such as he did below.
This has happened many times, on many different mailing lists.
This began many months ago on the Lincolnshire mailing list. The reasons
for illegibility of some (and it is a very, very tiny percentage)
original census enumerators books was kindly pointed out to him at that
time.
However, Chris Watson still continues with statements that have become a
vendetta against Archive CD Books. In his message posted here, the
comments are libellous, and intended to harm Archive CD Books. I happen
to take that very seriously indeed.
Mr Watson has been taken to task regarding the undermining of Archive CD
Books on several occasions, and, I might add, will never be allowed to
order any Archive CD Books CDs again.
His repeated statement is blatantly libellous, and therefore the time
has come to take necessary action.
Regards
Rod Neep
