================
Is there anything mentioned about Tom's wife in your book.
In an extract of the "Strange Story of Sion Chapel", Bryneglwys it
mentions
that my ancestor Jane daughter of Jane Jones and David Evans of Plas
Aberllefenni was related to Mrs Tom Ellis.
==================
In O Llew Owain's Book "Tom Ellis Gwladgarwr a Gwleidydd" published in
1915
it says [my translation]
"An important day in his life was 1st June 1898, the day he married Miss
A.J.
Davies daughter of R. J. Davies Esq. Cwrt Mawr and a sister of J.H.
Davies
MA
Esq. of Aberystwyth."
Mrs Tom Ellis was pregnant at the time of her husband's death in 1899, she
later gave birth to a son Thomas Iorwerth Ellis who was a renowned writer
and
broadcaster. T.I. Ellis has daughter still living who is also a well
known
Welsh
writer and broadcaster Meg Ellis. If you would like to contact Meg to
see
if
she knows anything of her maternal grandmother's family she can
be
contacted
through Canolfan Bedwyr at Bangor University on
cbsc03(a)bangor.ac.uk

Alwyn
