Don't take chances! No reputable organisation will ask for those details.
Check with Ancestry just in case.

Subject: [MER] Phishing
Is anyone else a subscriber to ancestry.com? I've had two emails
from the
email address below which I am suspicious of. They say that they are
unable
to take a quarterly payment from my credit card (although there has
been
no
difficulty in the past) and ask me to click through to what appears
to be
a
secure website and confirm my credit card details. Although
everything
looks
very genuine, I am still very very suspicious that it is
'phishing' ie a
scam to get me to give out credit card details so that someone else can
use
them illegally. Has anyone else had the same thing or can anyone
confirm
whether the email address below is exactly right? Although they give a
telephone number to contact, it is of course a number in the US available
only certain hours (Mountain Standard Time) which I am unlikely to phone
because of the cost.

Thanks for any advice.
