Here is an attempt at a translation, the personal details are quite
accurate, the memorial verses are a literal translations and don't make much
sense, although I have to admit that I am uncertain of what the sense is
supposed to be in the original either.
This stone was raised / to note the place where / Hugh Lloyd (currier) of
this town was buried/ who died on December 3rd 1801 aged 46 years.
The walk of the just is pleasant / He will have much added to him / He will
be raised from the grave to life/ God's hands will receive him
Also his eldest son Hugh Lloyd (currier) who was a wise and respectable man
in this town who died August 23 1846 aged 59 years
What is the manner of the end for the wise? It is for the famous man the
same as for the fool
Also Catherine his wife who died November 19th 1853 aged 68 years
This is to show that Gwen the youngest daughter of the late Hugh Lloyd
(currier) is buried here, who died November 12th 1806 aged 13 years.
Although her leaves were fresh, a young girl harvested like wheat, this is a
lesson for old men
Also Evan Lloyd son of Hugh Lloyd Junior who died April 26, 1839 aged 22
years.
And also John son of Captain Robert Pugh and Mary his wife who died 19th
February 1836 aged 46 years
In memory of the fact that this is the burial place of Mary wife of the late
Hugh Lloyd of this town (currier), who died September 16th 1823 aged 75
years
I will sleep a quite sleep for a short while in the gravel, and then in
peace I'll raise from my grave to the beautiful face of my Betrothed
Also Hugh Owen Lloyd Arthog who died June 24 1888 aged 76 years.

We recently came across 3 well preserved grave stones In the Dolgellau
Churchyard of one of our ancestors and his families which unfortunately for
us were written in the Welsh language and wonder if someone could
interperpret the writing for us into English.
