Ffestiniog Registration District has a record of the birth of a Diana Jones in the June
quarter of 1857, which is presumably yours, given the local rarity of the name (Diana, not
Jones!).
You presumably have the 1881 Blaen y Cae, Llanfrothen census record.
It appears that Diana (a widow no doubt) remarried, as in the June 1894 quarter
(Ffestiniog Reg Dist) we have John Evans (& 1 other) = Diana Roberts (& 1 other).
Then in the 1901 census, Ffestiniog parish (extracted from the PRO website - thus not all
details available):
John Evans, Head, Married, 67, Slate Quarry Slate Packer, Denbs. Abergele.
Dianah Evans, Wife, Marr., 43, Mer. Llanfrothen.
Thomas Jones, Son, 19, Loco Engine Stoker, Blaenau Ffestiniog.
Kate Evans, Other [i.e.not daughter], 14, Mer. Bala.
Jennie Evans, Daughter, 5, Blaenau Ffestiniog.
Martha Evans, Daughter, 4, Blaenau Ffestiniog.
Edward Williams, Other, 53, Slate Quarry Labourer, Mer. Llanfrothen.
I don't have any access to records tracing Diana further back, but anyone checking the
1861 & 1871 Llanfrothen returns should be able to trace her.
