I too have been tempted by the idea of leaning back and chatting to the
computer. But in this instance I think you might find you spent more time
correcting than you would have done doing the original typing. These
programmes, even when you've trained them to recognise your way of
pronouncing particular words/sounds, don't like non-standard words. And if
there's one thing I've learned reading all these letters over the last
couple of years it's that there an awful lot of those out there, with lots
of variations even in the same family.

After just 18mths doing a Family Tree I am becoming overwhelmrd with
"paper" and have decided the time has come to be more trusting of the
computer and aquire a Family Tree Programme. Being a rather innacurate and
slow one fingered typist I wondered if any one has heard of/used the above
