Hello Doreen & John
Thank you for taking the time to locate and send the census information. I
really appreciate it. This could very well be my Hugh Lloyd.

Thanks again.

I think we may be related. I know that my 2xgt. g/father was John LLOYD,
father of Anne (my gt. g/mother) - amongst many others:-
1871 CENSUS
RG10/5680
Cerrig Y Drudion (Hafod Y Maidd)
[Schedule] 39

Thomas LLOYD, Son, -, 11, Scholar, Cerrig Y Drudion, Den
Edwin LLOYD, Son, 8, ---, Cerrig Y Drudion, Den
** Anne LLOYD, Daughter, 5, ---, Cerrig Y Drudion, Den
Elizabeth LLOYD, Daughter, 3, ---, Cerrig Y Drudion, Den
Hafod Y Maidd was later renamed Glasfryn (on A5, midway between
Cerrigydruidion & Pentrefoelas).
John always claimed to have been born in Pentrefoelas, and fairly
consistently said he was born in 1830. He had a brother, William:
1861 CENSUS
RG 9/4310
Cerrig Y Drudion (Hafod Y Maidd)

William LLOYD, Brother, Wid, 32, Agricultural Labourer, Cerrig Y

John LLOYD, Son, 8 mos, ---, Cerrig Y Drudion, Den
Although William's age doesn't tally with the 1841 'Millers House'
extract, the only John LLoyd baptism in Pentrefoelas I have found was to
Morris & Ann LLOYD. William's age varies widely/wildly.
For other list members interested in LLOYD's in this area, John & Elinor
LLOYD's known children are:
Jane Lloyd b. 1856, DBG Cerrig Y Druidion.
Francis Lloyd b. 1858, DBG Cerrig Y Druidion, d. aft 1881.
Thomas Lloyd b. 1860, DBG Cerrig Y Druidion.
Edwin Lloyd b. 1863, DBG Cerrig Y Druidion, d. aft 1881.
Anne b. 14 May 1865, DBG Cerrig Y Druidion, d. 1943 (Ruthin, DBG). All
her descendants are known.
Elizabeth Lloyd b. 1868, DBG Cerrig Y Druidion.
John Lloyd b. Jul 1870, DBG Cerrig Y D. Glasfryn.
Ellen Lloyd b. abt 1873, DBG Cerrig Y D. ?Glasfryn, d. abt 1960, DBG.
William Lloyd b. 1875, DBG Cerrig Y D. Glasfryn, d. 08 Sep 1955, DBG
Cerrig Y D. Glasfryn, buried DBG Rhydlydan WCM (W. Presbyn.).
Marg(a)ret Lloyd b. 1878, DBG Cerrig Y D. Glasfryn.
Neither William nor Ellen married. They lived in the 'ancestral home'
from about 1947 until their respective deaths.
Cheers,
