don't like the intrusiveness of

smart enough to get the contracts, but nought out of ten for personal
appeal.
Or am I being a curmudgeon?
Bah! Humbug!
Well I wouldn't say a curmudgeon David! I'm angry with them about the 1871
for Chirk and Llansilin - first they put them in Shropshire, which was fine
once I'd worked that out. Then some smart Alec told them that these places were
in Denbighshire and what did they do? Only put the indexes in Denbighshire -
but left the image somewhere in the ether!!! I (and many others) have drawn
their attention to this. Lovely e-mails back about rectifying when they next
do an update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And some of their Welsh place names are a laugh
(Ha Ha).
They are, as you say very smart commercially, using our 'wants' but not
doing much market research or even, dare I say, focus groups, to find out what we
consumers really want. We are over a barrel really.
However, in Merionethshire, we do have the census info from Doreen and John
(lucky, we are).
