Thank you Bryn and Jeff,
Do you or anyone else have ready access to the earliest Bishop's
Transcripts for Llanfor/Llanfawr?
I'd appreciate someone looking for an August 1709 birth of a son named
David, probably with a father whose first name was John -- the David I am
interested in called himself David JONES on arrival in Pennsylvania in 1721.
If found, I'd like a photocopy -- will happily reimburse for same and
postage.

In fact Clwyd FHS also published a full transcription of the Bishops
Transcripts for Llanfor [1666-1722]. I should know as I transcribed them!!
See
http://www.clwydfhs.org.uk/registers/index.html
and scroll down to Llanfawr [alternative spelling!]
And yes, Maesyfallen was in Llanfor/Llanfawr parish.
