Subject: Re: [MER] 1871 Census: Ann JONES
Hello Peter,
I don't really know whether my family were connected with the Rug Estate,
but I do know my lot had a small Estate called Cefn Cymera, consisting of
just
three farms. Cefn Isa, Cefn Ucha, and Y Fron. This lay in the
parish of
Llanbedr, Duffryn Ardudwy, Merionethshire.
By 1871 though, most of my lot had died off, or the descendants had moved
on
to various farms in the area. Some into Llanenddwyn Parish. And
some to
Llanddwywe Parish.
But I suppose it might be worth your while checking out the Cefn Cymera
area
in Llanbedr Parish on the off chance of finding your family.
By the way, as a matter of further interest, hopefully. The Chapel of
Salem
in Llanbedr Parish or to be exact I suppose, in Gwynfryn village, was
helped
along by members of my family. Well, at least descendants of the
elder
son,
as I am a descendant of a younger son of the Wynne's of Cefn
Cymera.
Best regards,
Maureen nee Wynne
Rhondda
