I am searching for details of the well-known family doctor Dr Hwmphras of
Trawsfynydd.I understand that he was born in Portmadoc and was buried in
Llanfrothen.
He was a widow with one daughter and he devoted his life to serve the local
community.He was a county councillor and a JP as well as an active general
practitioner.
My searches of the local census have yielded the following information about
him.

I have no other details of his family but believe he was a son of a tailor
from Portmadoc.I would be grateful for any information about him
particularly his roots in the Portmadoc and Llanfrothen areas.
