Hello Jeff.
Your reply to Jan re Llanycil PR's sparked an interest in Rowland Jones
Mason. wife Anne and daughter Mary whoes graves are situated near another
Rowland Jones Mason and his wife Catherine Jones nee Angel which are located
in St Cadfan's churchyard Tywyn.
I am trying to get a connection between these families and to this end
wonder if there were any witnesses noted in the marriage details of Rowland
Jones to Anne Richards of the 26th April 1834 in the Llanycil Parish
Registers'
You also mentioned that Rowland Jones appears as witness to 6 marriages in
1819-20 would it be possible to provide details.?
Regards.
Richard.

Dear Jan,
"Llanycil Parish Registers 1813-1837" (Clwyd FHS) show the following
marriage at Llanycil on 9 November 1833 -
Rowland JONES, bachelor, and Elizabeth DAVIES, spinster, both of
this
parish, by banns, witnesses John ROBERTS & Jane OWENS. [All 4 give their
mark as X rather than sign the register.]
Note that another Rowland JONES, bachelor, marries an Anne RICHARDS,
spinster, both
of this parish, at Llanycil on 26th April 1834. The name
Rowland JONES appears as witness to 6 marriages in 1819 & 1820. No children
of Rowland & Elizabeth JONES baptised at Llanycil church 1833-1837.
Best wishes,
Jeff Delves
