I'm intrigued to see your reference to the long lived Magdalen Jones. I trace
ancestry through her daughter Jane Roberts of Ty tan y Graig who also left a will (probate
in August 1769). Do you know anything about Magdalen's husband or anything more about
her at all?

Can you tell us anymore about your David Jones?
What were the names of his father, mother and siblings?
What information do you have about his birth?
Why do you think that his father was a minister?
How do you link him to Maesyfallen and why do you use a '?' ?
Who was his new stepmother?
Best wishes
Basil

Dianne,
Maes y fallen is the name of a farm just a few miles outside Bala, my
5xgt.grandmother, Magdalen Jones/John, was born about 1659 and her son John
Robert was farming there in the 1730s and 1740s. I don't know whether
Magdalen was born there or not. John Robert died there in 1748, Magdalen at
Cefn y Meirch in 1756 , both left wills.
Edward.

Subject: [MER] Jones from Bala in 1709-1731
Just posting. Searching for info or family of David Jones born in
Bala
(Maesyfallen?) Wales. He was born in 1709 to a minister father, probably
episc but
not sure. He did not care for his new stepmother and ran away, joined
Quakers and immigrated to US around 1731.
Is this gentleman ringing any family bells?
