I think that the Davies family of Aran House Llanuwchllyn(shop/draper/later
Post Office) is the family of the opera singer Mary LLoyd Davies. Hafina

Dear Jeff,
Sorry to cause problems - again!
You wrote, "I don't know what happened to Evan T DAVIES's son Llywelyn -
will try to find out from Llandrillo contacts." I wonder if this is the
Llewellyn in question, or just s tragic coincidence:
[From the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website]
Casualty Details
Name:
DAVIES, LLEWELLYN
Nationality: United Kingdom
Rank: Private
Regiment: King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry
Unit Text: "B" Coy. 6th Bn.
Age: 24
Date of Death: 15/09/1916
Service No: 23135
Additional information:
Brother of Mr. Kywel Davies, of Garthiaen, Llandrillo, Merionethshire.
Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
Grave/Memorial Reference: Pier and Face 11 C and 12 A.
Your message threw up a point which confused me; can you explain,
please?
" Llandrillo Unconsecrated Burials, 1899-1959 :
Evan T DAVIES, age 78, minister, died at Penrhos, Llandrillo 6 February
1931, buried 10 February 1931, grave plot H24."
Why would a (Independent/Congregational) minister be interred in
unconsecrated ground? Was it because the consecration was performed by
the Church in/of Wales?
Cheers,
Trevor
