Hi Bill,
Margaret Williams Evan's parents were named Jane Richards and William Ellis
and they married in 1753. I guess that means that Margaret's maternal
grandfather was named Richard something or other if the patronymics holds
true. At this point, I don't know if any of Margaret's siblings stayed in
the valley. I need to find that out. William and Jane are not my ancestors
but are those of my Grandson Peter, on his father's side.
Thanks,
Gwen
Hi Gwen
Funny thing about the two brothers called Richard, Jane's
grandmother had two sons called Richard, one christened 4/12/1757, and buried
5/8/1760; The other Richard was baptised 17/11/1772. So the name Richard was
very
important to the family.
Do you know if some of the family remained in the Tyn y cwm valley? and if
so who? Another question was William and Jane Bellis your ancestors?
Best regards
Bill Jones.
