Hi, Barbara. Yes, there is a Llanfor in Merionethshire, although that is
the former name of the county. Since about 1975 or 6 (I think) it has been
the county of Gwynedd, which was actually one of the 'old' regions of Wales.
I think (but am unable to prove, so far) that one of my great great
grandfathers was living there at the time of his marriage (John Owen to Mary
Jones.)
Good luck with your search.

Subject: [MER] Merionethshire or Pembrokeshire
I have a question.
I am looking for a Town called Llanfor, Wales. I have information that
shows that it is in Merionethshire and information that shows
Pembrokeshire.
Is Llanfor perhaps just part of a Town name? Is there more than one
Llanfor.
Thanks,
Barbara
