his age and soon after was convinced of the Truth, married Jane Hughes, dau. of John
Hughes of Gwynedd, in 1712. Visited Friends in back part of Virginia ... died 11/6/1760.
He converted to Quaker when he came to America.
His criticism of Squire Boone's (this was the father of and sisters to Daniel Boone)
daughters caused Thomas to move his family to N.C.
According to some family notes, Thomas was very childlike near his death.

These are only two of ten children of Thomas and Jane Hughes. I have not checked any of
the records mentioned though.
Marion Eames also mentions Rowland having a son Thomas in her book "A Secret
Room". She also mentions that Rowland was imprisoned and his possessions in Wales
were confiscated because [as a Quaker] he would not swear an oath to the king. So I
don't know that he was all that wealthy when he went to the property he had in the
PA.
My Ellis connection is through my mother, Annie May (nee Ellis), whose family came from
Llanenddwyn and is said to be connected to Rowland somehow - but I'm only back to the
1790s.
