Message Board Post:
I'd be grateful for information or guidance about the Apjohn and Lloyd families of
Limerick. My ancestress Anna (Maunsell) White, daughter of John White and Mary Lloyd,
born 1738-1739 in Limerick or Tipperary, identified her near relatives as the Hunts,
Lloyds, Maunsells, and "Abjents" (presumably Abjohn or Apjohn).
The connection to the Lloyds comes through her mother Mary Lloyd who married John Maunsell
1737 Diocese of Cashel and Emly. I cannot identify Mary Lloyd's family. Grateful for
any clues.
The connection to the Hunts comes through her cousin Anne Maunsell, daughter of William
Maunsell and his first wife Mary Sealy, who married 5 March 1763 -----: Vere Hunt.
While the Apjohns are clearly kin of Anna Maunsell's kin, I cannot find the connection
that would lead Anna Maunsell to identify them as her near relatives. Possibly an Apjohn
married a sister or brother of her mother?
Happy to share information about these families.
Many thanks for your help, and best wishes to you.
