Although Y Dydd only goes up to 1910 on the NLW site the Merionethshire
edition of the Cambrian News extends to 1919.
In the 1960's there use to be a Barmouth specific paper, the Barmouth
Advertiser (I think) in which my grandmother use to advertise her B&B. It
used to be printed and published in a cellar beneath a shop on the High
Street, near the harbour road.
I don't know when publication started or finished, nor if any copies have
been archived, but if copies are available the "news" content would be of
the sort that interests family historians rather than about earth shattering
events.

Go to Welsh Newspapers Online
http://welshnewspapers.llgc.org.uk/en/home
This provides a range of newspapers from at least 1860 until about 1910.
You can search on a regional and time basis. Insofar as Ardudwy is
concerned, I would check the Cambrian News, Y Dydd and Y Goleuad. Depends
on what you are looking for. Bear in mind that newspapers published in
Welsh and in English.
Bit more difficult after 1910 until more newspapers are available online
through this and other portals. Even so, Welsh Newspapers Online is a
great place to start.
