Best of luck with your visit, I am also distantly related to Hedd Wyn.
It is from my maternal grandfather's side. If I was at home, I would
delve into my information etc. Several years ago I visited Ysgwrn and
saw all the chairs including the 1916 chair. It was an amazing
experience. Is Hedd Wyn's nephew still alive, Bob (Robin) Hughes

I believe that I am distantly related to Hedd Wynn. Mt great great
grandfather was Evan Morris, his brother David had a daughter named Mary
who was Hedd Wynn's mother. Evan married twice, firstly to Sarah
Williams. Sarah and Evan had a daughter called Ellen Anne Morris who
married John David Hughes and they lived in Penmachno. They in turn had
a son, Evan Morris Hughes who died aged 35 in Hereford. Evan Hughes
married Annie Eurwen and had 2 sons, John Trebor (my dad) and Ieaun. My
friend has also been informed by her uncle that she is related to Hedd
Wynn via Jones family - John Cadwaladr m Elizabeth Wyatt, John Lloyd
Jones m Gwen ?, William Jones m Catherine ? She would love to know how
she is connected, her uncle can remember visiting a house with lots of
beautiful chairs that had been won. I'm visiting Trawsfynydd this
Friday with my father and will be trying to locate some graves, Hedd
Wynn's statue etc, so if you see some funny looking people taking photos
it cou!
ld be us! If anyone has any information, please let me know.

Did you know? Every main library invests in around 25 of the latest
blockbuster DVD titles each month, and they can be hired from the
day of release at half the price of some high street stores!
