Message Board Post:
On 17 April 2007 I was at the National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth and took notes on
the following ROBERTS and HUMPHREYS I found for selected years in the microfilmed records,
"Mallwyd Parish registers" [CPD 371]. This microfilm reel contains:
Item 1: MCP 285 / Baptisms 1568-1703; Marriages and burials 1568-1703
Item 2: Baptisms, burials 1664, 1699-1781; Marriages 1664, 1699-1757
Item 3: Baptisms, burials 1781-1813
Item 4: Baptisms 1813-1894
Apologies in advance for any mistakes in transcribing I've made, and for not being
able to decipher place names.
Mallwyd was a parish of the Church of Wales at that time, I was told. Mallwyd and its
church are located about 11 miles southeast of Dolgellau on the A470, just inside the
boundary of Snowdonia National Park.
