Hi Richard,
Here are chapels active in the Llanfor area during the 1830's and the
date of establishment. The list is derived from Atlas Meirionnydd, which
is sadly out of print:
Independents:
Bala - 1769
Tyn y Bont - 1730
Rhydywernen - 1770
Bethel (nr Sarnau) - 1813
Llandderfel (Rama) - 1813
Calv. Methodists:
Bala (1757)
Cefnddwygraig (1830)
Sarnau (1800 - 1822)
Cefnddwysarn (1822)
Llandderfel (1813)
Cwm Tirmynach (1826)
Pantglas (1827)
A couple of points regarding the list:
- Chapels were established at locations accessible to the potential
congregation, and where landowners were willing to provide land for them
to build,
- People were willing to travel (walk + horseback) to their place of
worship.

Help please.
I'm looking for the names and locations of ALL chapels within the "parish"
of Llanfor, Merionethshire which were active during the 1830s.
Internet search comes up with only one result i.e. Llwyneinion. Surely there must have
been more?.
Any help very much appreciated.
