I am sure you are correct. The stories in these community history books are
not submitted by genealogist only people wiling to share their life long
stories in that community and enter their ancestors stories as best they
can, in this case many were from Wales. These small communities like Atwater
were once thriving villages in 1902-1980ish, no longer exist as a village.
Many history books have been written in Saskatchewan by small dieing
communities for our descendents to read. Makes one feel old.

Some of them need a bit of work, though. My gues, for example, is
that (p. 206) 'Robert Davies ... born at Mycunleith, Wales' might
have been born in Machynlleth!
