Perhaps someone on this list could direct me.
I am trying to research my Jones's in the Bala area. My David Jones was born in
1709. His father was a minister/preacher. Any suggestions? Did they keep lists of the
clergy? Very frustrated since I cannot visit Wales myself. Of course if all records in
the Welsh dialet I am "up a crick".

Robert is buried at Llangwm Chapel, so I'm not too surprised that you didn't
ind his baptism in the Llanfor Parish records.
At least I now know that he was definitely baptised in chapel.
Will keep on searching.
