Do you know if the records will stay at the school, or eventually find their way to the
archives at Dolgellau?

In the past week I have twice visited an exhibition in Bala about
"Llandderfel".
In addition to the expected large number of photos of Llandderfel past,
there were a number of very informative displays about local characters
and events. Some references to Cefnddwysarn, Sarnau & Glanyrafon.
Two items in particular caught my attention -
1) A bound volume of photocopies of the Llandderfel School Admissions
Register - from the late 1800s to c1976. Just under a thousand entries.
I understand that the book is on loan from the new local primary school
at Cefnddwysarn.
2) A photocopied booklet of an original production by Llandderfel School
in the 1920s, containing a variety of articles of local interest,
including a list of ruined dwellings, an explanation of the origin of
local place-names (with many historical references), brief biographies
of local characters.
The exhibition is at Canolfan y Plase in Bala (Google-search gives
location with map) until Friday 22nd August : Mon to Fri 12-5, Sat 10-5.
Recommended.
