I'm sorry to correct you Ken, but it was Michael Jones's son, Michael D
Jones who promoted the Welsh settlement in Patagonia. The registers referred
to can also be accessed via ancestry.

Pwnc: Re: [MER] TRAWSGOED LLanuwchllyn 1830's
Aled,
I assume that the records are of the *Hen Gapel" as it was known among the
Indepdenents in the Llanuwchllyn area. The chapel of Michael Jones later in
the 19th century. Michael Jones was the promoter of settlement in Patagonia
and head of the Independent Training College in Bala.
The following URL(Welsh Biography Online) will take you to a Thomas family
of note in the Llanuwchllyn area - there may be a connection with yours,
perhaps not:
http://yba.llgc.org.uk/en/s-THOM-ROB-1809.html
The interplay of names is interesting - Dafydd Thomas, then Dewi ap Didymus,
both of which mean David Thomas.
I used the search parameters "Annibynwyr + Thomas + Llanuwchllyn"
