Hi
To all of you interested in the LLWYDIAID CWM BYCHAN
Following all the interest on line about the Lloyds of Cwm Bychan, I contacted
a cousin/Aunt who lives in Dyffryn and is a descendant of the Lloyds of Cwm Bycan and
Cwm Nantcol (Cilcychwyn) and have received the lineage through her Nian Laura Lloyd and
Taid Arthur Edwards The list is hand written and as I only received it in the post today
and as yet haven't had time to study it in detail , but I see it lists the male line
from William Lloyd 1853-1922 of GELLIWAEN to Robert Lloyd 1743-1805 . It also mentions
links to BLEDDYN ap CYNFYN died 1075.
I can feel the keyboards hotting up as you will all want to find out more. Give me time
to log it into my tree and in the meantime if you want to ask me any questions I will
endeavour to give you any information.

Hi Felicity
I am also descended from the Lloyds ofCwmbychan. I found this from a
biography my great uncle, Rev. Henry Rees wrote in 1933. The biography was
of Rev R.G. Roberts and Henry writes that they both took great pride in the
fact that they were of the lineage Llwydiaid Cwmbychan via their mothers.
Exactly how we link up to the Lloyds is a fact I have been struggling with
for a number of years. I hope you have better luck. Unfortuantley I have no
Williams.

I've just come off the phone with my uncle Gerald Williams who lives at
Ysgwrn Trawsfynydd and we were talking about the family's roots. Although
the records indicate we came to Ysgwrn from Yr Wyddor and before that
Llanfachreth, he seems to think that the family started in Cwmbychan. I
have an email about the family living in Brynsguboriau in Trawsfynydd pre
1800 which says "this also means they are related to the Lloyd family of
Cwmbychan and thence Cadwgan ap Bleddyn ap Cynfyn." Does anyone know this
family and how they fit into the Ysgwrn family tree?
Felicity Williams
