So do I! My ggg grandfather, Richard DAVIES was born and lived there.
Here is an explanation given to me by a Welshman about the location of
Celynin:
"I can tell you where Celynnin is. It is in the parish centred on
Llangelynin between Tywyn and Dolgellau in Merionethshire. Celynnin falls within the
registration distict of Dolgellau (known as Dolgelly or Dolgelley in 1853), . .
. "
Celynin is in the Township of Bodgadfan, according to the census entries of
1841 and 1851 for Richard DAVIES.
