Subject: Re: [MER] Re Llanrwst family
Hi Gwenda
Sorry to be long with my reply but I am experiencing a lot of difficulty
accessing the internet.
I have looked through the Memorial inscriptions for St Mary's churchyard
(GFHS) and through some chapel one I have Isgain GFHS) I have not found
anything which leads me to believe that they are either in St Grwst
churchurchyard, which had not yet been transctribed or the huge Public
cemetery at Cae'r Melwr, Llanrwst. . The archive office in llandudno may
have these records but I do know that the books are kept at the
Crematorium,
and you really need some kind of time frame for the staff here to look
through the books.
The Archive Service is based at:
The Old Board School
Lloyd Street
Llandudno
LL30 2YG
Enquiries:
Telephone or fax the service on (01492) 860882
email: archifau.archives(a)conwy.gov.uk
The administrative centre is located at:
Colwyn Bay Crematorium
Bron y Nant Road,
Mochdre
Colwyn Bay
Conwy
LL28 4YN
The Registrar and his staff can be contacted regarding any crematorium or
cemetery matter on 01492 544677.
Opening hours for the office are as follows.
Monday to Friday 9.00am - 4.30pm.
I hope this is of some help.
If you think I can help further just ask.
Best wishes
Patricia
