Hello Nick
I'm sorry but I don't have any info on your family but I noticed they were Scotch
Baptists, marrying at Rehoboth Chapel. My family attended this chapel but I am having
great difficulty in finding the pre 1837 records of bapts, marriages and deaths for
Rehoboth.
I was wondering if you had managed to find any records for the chapel?

Subject: [MER] Thomas Hughes Harlech
Does anyone have information re Thomas Hughes (1851-1918) of Moranedd,
Harlech? His father was tailor Richard Thomas (1821-1898) of Tanllech,
Harlech.
Thomas married Ann Jones, daughter of farmer Robert Jones (Gerddifluog) in
1873 at Rehoboth Chapel and was a quarryman until he went blind in his 30s,
probably as a result of diabetes. Thomas and Ann ran the Red Lion in Harlech
for a time, and Ann was the first stewardess of the Royal St David's Golf
Club. Their daughter, Ann Hughes (my Grandmother) was nanny to the More
family of Crown Lodge.
Any further information or contact with unknown relatives will be gratefully
accepted,
Nick Williams
