Hi Jane
You will need to contact the Merioneth Archives office (either at Dolgellau,
or Caernarfon) for details see
http://www.gwynedd.gov.uk/gwy_doc.asp?cat=3693&doc=12971. The best solution
is to visit, but this is only feasible if you either live in the UK, or are
planning to visit. The staff at the archive office are very helpful (I was
myself visiting the Dolgellau office just last week).

Subject: [MER] Walter OWENS born ab 1831-Gwyddelwern
Hello List,
This is my first posting and wonder if anyone can point me in the right
direction.
I am looking for the baptism of Walter OWENS born about 1831
On his marriage certificate his father is John OWENS a labourer
He has given his birthplace as Gwyddelwern, Merionethshire,Wales.
His first daughter is named as Mary Elizabeth, Although there is a John and
Elizabeth Owens on the
census' I am looking for the Baptism of Walter.
Many Thanks
Jane Williams
