According to the book "Parish Registers of Wales" Dolgellau RO should have
the baptismal records for Tywyn up to 1903.
Of course births after 1837 should be registered with the civil authorities,
an index most of Merioneth births marriages and deaths can be found on :
http://www.northwalesbmd.org.uk/
Tywyn records will be found as part of the Gwynedd - De Meirionnydd
(Dolgellau) collection.
The registrar in Dolgellau is just a few hundred yards away from the records
office contact details can be found here:

Booking a space at the records office isn't strictly necessary, most local
just pop in unannounced, but as you are travelling so far booking a space
beforehand might be a wise precaution.

Subject: [MER] Tywyn Parish Registers
We are hoping to visit Tywyn shortly on the trail of my husband`s
DANIEL
family. I see that Dolgellau have the Parish Registers for the town but
the
Baptisms only go up to 1852. Could someone please tell me where I would
find the later register?
Also is it necessary to book a place at the Record Office?
Thank you for your time.
