Hello Marjorie
Yes there is a connection - Goginan is a village a few miles from
Aberystwyth so presumably she was actually born there but Aberystwyth being
the local town and centre (today includes the NLW and the University) it
would be natural for her to give it as her place of birth especially if she
was living away from Cardiganshire or especially in England. Sometimes the
English census just gives county of birth
Enjoy your visit, I hope this fine weather holds for you. It has been a
beautiful day in North West Wales today, not a cloud in the sky this
afternoon.
regards
Angharad

Hello again Angharad
Hugh DANIEL married Laura Louisa WILLIAMS the Jun Q of 1881 (Free BMD) in
the Machynlleth district. She was born 1851/2 and gives two locations on
census for her birth - both Cardiganshire - Goginan and Aberystwyth. Is
there any connection?
best wishes
