is the Welsh for large house. I have Ty Mawr Llanuwchllyn recorded as in
1893 Edward Edwards of Ty Cerrig Llanuwchllyn married Gwen daughter of
Rowland & Catherine Jones who farmed Ty Mawr. They were living with her
parents in 1901 and in 1911 but they later moved to Ty Cerrig where he died
in 1925. Gwen lived until 1955
