Hello Jeff and Thank You so much for your reply,
I have quoted a couple of sentences to try to clarify
my next move and I would be very grateful if you could
comment further. I have also included what happened
on our visit to Corwen, Ruthin, and Llandrillo....
<< re - request for search of NBI for James MORGAN, son
of Ann (HANMER) & Robert MORGAN, all 3 resident
in Llandrillo in 1881 Census; >>
<<NBI is of little help in Wales>>
Does the above mean I wont find death details even if I go to
registration offices for other places he may have died
e.g.: Llanfairfechan or Ruthin, etc.?
<<Your CLWYD-L reference to "marriage took place in
Corwen Dec 1878 according to GRO records" is likely
to be misleading. This information probably comes from
the quarterly marriages indexes, & simply shows
that the marriage was registered in the 4th quarter
of 1878 in the Corwen>>
We did go to Corwen for a marriage certificate a few
weeks ago and the ONESTOP INFO LIBRARY
on the main street sent us to Beryl Lightfoot,
The registrar at Station Road Ruthin.
She is a lovely person and checked all the
church registers for the 4th quarter of 1878,
before we realised my ggrandparents were
chapel and the chapel registers for Corwen are in Bala
or they should be, there is also a possibility they are in Wrexham.
I have actually sent to Bala so fingers crossed..
<< In 1881 the family is shown as living in Fairclough
Terrace, Garthiaen Llandrillo.>>
We also visited Llandrillo and a lady we spoke to was
actually from a Morgan Family, she sent us to her sisters
down the Lane and she had the Family History logged on
rolls of wallpaper as she didn't have a computer,
it was absolutely brilliant, she also gave me a lot
of information on the Morgans not connected to
the Morgan line she had researched with a nephew
and there is every possibility there will be a link
as hers and my Morgans were born in Llandrillo.…
I will definitely be going back to Llandrillo as there
is nothing to compare to local people telling you
their stories, it was very enlightening and I will never
forget the hospitality afforded to us.
The lady, Mrs Roberts and her husband Idris
even brought out a little table and chair with some toys
for our 3 year old grandson to play with,
they really are a lovely couple.
Does the Llanfairfechan ties and the fact my family were
chapel help you to perhaps give us any other information
Thank You in Anticipation Jaq and Les
