The transcriptions of the 1851 census for Trawsfynydd and Llandanwg are
really most welcome. I have happily trawled through them looking,
unsuccessfully, for a missing ancestor, Gwen WILLIAMS born 1819. Gwen hails
from Dolgellau and her family is there for the 1851 census, but Gwen has
disappeared, only to reappear in the subsequent 1861, 1871 and 1881
censuses.
Does anyone know of any other 1851 census transcriptions for Merionethshire?
I am particularly interested in Barmouth - if that's available. And could
someone tell me the total County population in 1851?
Best wishes for 2002
Adrian C Whittaker, in Gravesend, Kent.

I seem to recollect that somebody was searching for ANNWYL in the
Llandanwg
area a few months ago, there are a few people of that name on this
site.
Hope it helps
