Alwyn:
The article has Hughie Humphreys (spelled thus) as signalman in Bontnewydd
and Olwen Humphreys as goods clerk at Dolgellau Goods. Are they your
parents?
There must have been other articles in this series, because the 'Dolgellau
section' deals only with Drwsynant, Bontnewydd, Dolgellau and Penmaenpool.
The Ruabon-Barmouth line meant a great deal to those of us "of a certain
age." The memories linger to such an extent that I bought shares in the
Llangollen Railway for my Canadian-born daughter!!!

Re. Your article on the Railway workers on the Dolgellau &
Barmouth line.
Both my parents worked on this line (where they met, fell in love and courted
before marrying and having an ideal son)
Their names are Hugh Humphreys and Marion Olwen Griffith
Does your article mention either?
All the best

My late father had a newspaper article from one of the local papers in the
Corwen/Ruthin area that ran a series of articles on those who worked on the
Ruabon-Barmouth railway line from the late 1930's to its closure in the
1960's.
I only have the article that deals with Dolgellau (where my father worked
for a while). There are three Roberts listed as working there:
