Check the website "Names from Clwyd" at:
http://freespace.virgin.net/jill.farndon25/index.html
You will find a reference to the (first?) marriage of Roger
Humphreys, blacksmith, to Ayles Richards. (That may be Alys) in 1785.
A search on the web also turned up others who are researching the
same family. I used the parameters "Humphreys + blacksmith + Glyn
Ceiriog."
You might also consider posting your inquiry on Clywd-L:

Llansantffraid Glyn Ceiriog was in the old Denbighshire (Hundred of
Chirk). What is confusing is that in the early 19th century, Ceiriog
was also in the Union and Registration District of Corwen, which was
in Merionethshire at the time.

I am looking for information on the family of Roger Humphreys bapt
at Llansantffraid Glyn Ceiriog circa 1768. He later married an Ann
(maidenname unknwown)- this may have been a second marriage. Roger
worked as a blacksmith. Only known address was at the time of the
1841 census - pentre'r efel.
Ann and Roger had at least 3 children: Richard, Harriet and
Elizabeth.
